This is a service that gives flood alerts and warnings. It is recommended that you sign up to receive warnings if you are concerned about the flood risk to your property.This is a free service that provides flood warnings direct to you by telephone, mobile, email, SMS text message, fax or pager.

Flood warnings within the UK are given in a 3 stage approach, Flood Watch, Flood Warning and Severe Flood Warning, depending on the severity or likelihood of flooding occuring. For more information on flood alerts and warnings see the Environment Agency website.
Preparing for a flood
It is the responsibility of home owners to protect their property from flooding. If you are aware that there is a risk of flooding, be prepared with:
- an emergency kit
- emergency contact details
- sand bags

During a flood

- Stay safe
