Fishing at War Memorial Park, Romsey

You can fish on the river in War Memorial Park, but please be aware of the following restrictions:

  • The vegetation along the bank has been left long to aid establishment of the bank and therefore this may impact on your experience. Please consider this before booking. 
  • There are localised restrictions upstream from the gate (to aid establishment of the bank) and downstream of the play area.

Residents* (per rod per day) -  £18.55
Non-Residents (per rod per day) - £36.15

Residents* (per rod per half day) - £11.35
Non-Residents (per rod per half day) - £22.85

* Residents under 18 and over 60 pay 50% fees

Paying to fish at War Memorial Park

To fish at War Memorial Park, you’ll need a national fishing rod licence and to purchase a day ticket from the Council Offices, Church Street, Romsey between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 4.30pm on Friday.

Salmon – 2 Oct to 17 Jan

Migratory trout – 31 Oct  – 1 May

Non migratory trout – 31 Oct to 3 April

Coarse fish – 15 March to 15 June
