Councillor Clive Collier presenting the cheque to Adam

Fox Finds awarded £1000 grant

After opening his new gift shop in Romsey last year, Adam Fox has been awarded with the second instalment of Test Valley Borough Council’s £1000 Independent Retailer Grant.

Located on Bell Street, Fox Finds offers a unique homeware and gift shopping experience, where Adam sources modern and quirky items from local suppliers, artisans and artists.

Romsey Abbey ward member councillor Clive Collier presented the cheque to Adam. He said: “I am delighted to present Adam with the final instalment of his Independent Retailer Grant. It is great that he has had a positive start to the business. I wish him continued success.”

Adam added: “The first few months of trading have been great. Romsey is such a welcoming community and being part of that is brilliant. I look forward to working with more local artisans and meeting more residents as the business continues to go from strength to strength.

“I’d like to thank Test Valley Borough Council for the grant and for supporting the opening of Fox Finds.”

Recipients of the £1,000 grant receive £500 after three months of trading and a further £500 six months later. To be eligible for the grant, new or existing independent businesses must occupy a town centre ground floor unit which has been vacant for at least one month. Qualifying businesses include shops, restaurants and cafes.
