Walk with the Mayor

The Mayor of Test Valley, Councillor Carl Borg-Neal, is touring the borough’s Health Walks and inviting local people to join him.

Councillor Borg-Neal joined the Andover Health Walk last week and the Romsey group earlier this week. His tour will include walks in Valley Park, Stockbridge, East Anton and Wellow.

He said: “Test Valley’s Health Walks are fantastic. They are great opportunities for people to get out and about in the fresh air, meet new people and get involved in the local community. Research by Cambridge University has proven that exercise such as health walks have vast physical and mental health benefits; including even delaying the onset of conditions such as Alzheimer’s and dementia.”

The Mayor will be at the following Test Valley Health Walks:

  • Saturday, 20 January: Valley Park at 10.30am, leaving from Cleveland Bay Public House
  • Friday, 26 January: Stockbridge at 10am, leaving from Danebury Hill Fort
  • Thursday, 1 February: East Anton at 10.30am, leaving from Augusta Park Community Centre
  • Wednesday, 7 February: Wellow Health Walk at 1.30pm, leaving from Wellow Village Hall
