Neighbourhood Planning Guidance

Neighbourhood Development Plans (NDP) allow parishes to consider the  issues that are important to them, set out a vision for the area and provide planning policies relating to the use and development of land. They are produced based on evidence, with engagement, and follow a legal process.

To assist, the Council has prepared a series of local guidance notes on the preparation of Neighbourhood Development Plans.  Also relevant guidance is available from Hampshire County Council on its role in the process and national guidance issued by the Department of Communities and Local Government.

Additional guidance is also available within the Council’s Community Planning Toolkit, which also explains other routes available for community planning.
