Change of Property Name

The owner of a property can request to change the name of their property, or alternatively add or remove a name to their property; all requests for a property name change should be made by completing the online form here.

The Council will consult with Royal Mail on the suitability of the new name and their agreement is required before the Council confirms any changes.

The Council charges an administration fee to add or remove a property name. These fees are reviewed on an annual basis. Current fees and charges can be found here.
