Voting by post or proxy

If you are unable to get to your polling station on 1 May, there are different options available to you in order for you to cast your vote:

• By post - if you apply to vote by post before 10 April 2026, your postal vote will be despatched around Monday 20 April.  If you apply after 10 April and before the deadline of 5pm on Tuesday 21 April 2026, your postal vote will be despatched around Monday 27 April 2026.

• By proxy - the deadline to apply to vote by proxy is 5pm on Tuesday 28 April 2026.
