Crisis and Resilience Fund - Housing Payment

If you disagree with a Housing Payment decision

Housing Payments are part of the Crisis and Resilience Fund, not a statutory benefit. They do not carry any formal right of appeal to an external tribunal.

If you disagree with a decision we make, you should contact us within one calendar month in writing explaining why you disagree with the decision and providing any additional evidence you think is relevant. The decision will be looked at by a senior officer in the Revenues and Welfare Department.

If the decision is not changed, you can:

  • Pursue a judicial review. To do this, you will need to seek your own legal advice. The council cannot assist you to do this.
  • Submit a complaint through the council’s procedure. You can find more information here.
