Ampfield Village Hall “speeds up” with Council grant
Ampfield Village Hall will be able to install superfast broadband and purchase a new laptop for their weekly Computer Café sessions, thanks to a Councillor Community Grant.
The drop-in IT sessions, facilitated by volunteer Sue O’Dowd have been running for the last 18 months alongside the weekly community café at the hall. To date Sue has helped a number of local residents with a range of IT queries from using smart phones, to tablets to setting up emails.
Ampfield and Braishfield ward member, Councillor Martin Hatley said: “I am delighted to be able to present this grant to Ampfield Village Hall. The superfast broadband will also be available for other hall users, which is a great asset to have for the community.”
