Andover Millway ward councillor Zilliah Brooks presented the grant to Rebekah

Exciting new business opens in Andover’s Basepoint!

A new business has been awarded a £750 Business Incentive Grant after opening its doors at Andover’s Basepoint.

Test Valley Borough Council awarded business owner, Rebekah Taylor the grant after she started up Pour and Paint, offering painting sessions for artists both young and old, experienced, and complete novice.

Rebekah said: “I’ve always loved painting. It’s a wonderful thing to be able to make a business out of what you love doing. I am grateful to Test Valley Borough Council for helping me with this grant.”

Andover Millway ward councillor Zilliah Brooks presented the grant to Rebekah. She said: “It’s wonderful to welcome a new, creative business to Andover. Art is a wonderful way to meet new people, explore your creativity and have some downtime to a busy life. I am so pleased that we can support businesses like Rebekah’s, and I really hope that everything continues to go well for her.”

The council’s Business Incentive Grants are available to anyone looking to set up their own business in Test Valley. Anyone who successfully applies for the grant will receive £750 if their business is still going strong six months later.

These funds have become available to the community as a consequence of the council’s prudent investments, financial management and the use of the New Homes Bonus.
