Garden Maintenance business blooms with a council grant

Test Valley Borough Council has awarded Young’s Garden Maintenance a £750 business incentive grant.

Brian Young, the founder of Young’s Garden Maintenance, has a deep-rooted passion for gardening, inspired by his grandparents who ran a gardening business. He plans to use the grant to purchase vital new equipment.

He has already established a solid customer base, thanks to referrals from a tree surgeon friend and his active presence on Facebook, where he regularly posts updates about his services.

Brian said: “I am incredibly grateful for this grant, which will allow me to invest in the equipment I need to provide the best possible service to my customers.”

Anna ward councillor Maureen Flood said, “We are delighted to support Brian with his new garden maintenance business. We wish him the best of luck and look forward to seeing Young’s Garden Maintenance succeed and thrive.”

Business Incentive Grants are for new businesses located in Test Valley and you must apply before you start your business. The council will pay the grant once you have been up and running for a minimum of six months.
