The new sports pavilion, tennis court and pitches at Picket Piece are now available for online bookings after Test Valley’s Deputy Mayor officially opened the new facilities last week.

Managed by Test Valley Borough Council, the facilities provide a central hub for local sports and community events, offering modern amenities for residents to enjoy.

Deputy Mayor, Linda Lashbrook, gave a speech and cut the ribbon at the event on Friday 1 November, which also saw Andover New Street Youth playing a friendly football match and England Netball hosting a free coached netball session for local children aged 5 to 11.

Leader of the council, Councillor Phil North said: “I am delighted the pavilion, pitch and court are now available for the local community to book for sports and community events. This pavilion represents our commitment to providing high-quality facilities that support healthy lifestyles.”

The new pavilion has spacious changing rooms, a well-equipped kitchen and a versatile meeting room, making it an ideal venue for a variety of activities, including sports matches, community gatherings, and children’s parties.
