Peas Paws gets a helping hand from council grant
A new dog grooming business in Andover has received a £750 boost through Test Valley Borough Council’s Business Incentive Grant.
Peas Paws, run by Paris Cutting, offers professional grooming services and is already attracting loyal customers. Paris currently rents a table at Barks ‘N’ Bubbles on Winchester Street and plans to use the grant to buy a second pair of clippers – an essential tool for her work.
Paris said: “I’m very grateful to the council for this business grant. It’s been a great help in improving the quality of the grooms I’m able to provide. I have invested in another pair of high-quality clippers which is really helpful for not having to rely on one pair in case they break! I’m really pleased with how the business is progressing. I really love what I do and feel very lucky that I get to do what I love every day.”
Andover Winton ward, Councillor Lisa Matthews, said: “It’s fantastic to see Peas Paws doing well and providing a valuable service to local pet owners. Supporting new businesses like Paris’s is exactly what the Business Incentive Grant is designed to do, helping people turn their ideas into reality and strengthen our local economy.”
Test Valley Borough Council is committed to supporting local businesses through initiatives and grants. The Business Incentive Grant helps new businesses in Test Valley achieve their goals and contribute to the local economy. You must apply within eight weeks of starting to trade, and the grant is awarded once you have been operating for at least six months.
