The Wallops VDS
This Village Design Statement (VDS) was adopted as Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG) following a resolution of the Council’s Executive Committee on 11 February 2004.
It describes the Wallops and their environs as they are today, highlighting the individual and collective characteristics that make the villages distinctive. It is intended that the VDS will form a reference for those who bring change to the villages, or to a building within them. It will enable any development to be controlled and appropriate and to retain the character of the villages.
This document forms part of the basis for decisions on land use planning affecting the area.
