Electric Vehicle Charging
New electric vehicle charging points across Test Valley are being part funded by a Government grant from the Office of Low Emission Vehicles. They are being put in place at different Test Valley Borough Council car parks in Andover and Romsey, with 18 in total to be installed by Joju Solar, working in partnership with Vattenfall UK. The provision of the charge points is being part funded by a grant from the Office for Low Emission Vehicles.
Until 12 March, the charge points will be free to use, with signs being put in place to notify users.
Drivers simply need to plug in and their vehicle will begin charging, with no need to use the app or provide payment.
Four machines are currently available in the Chantry Centre car park, with two machines also at the Alma Road car park in Romsey. Two additional charging points can also be accessed in the town, at Lortemore Place.
The further ten machines will also be free to use in the new year once their installation has been completed. The further ten machines will also be free to use until 12 March once their installation has been completed.
