Neighbourhood Planning Guidance
Neighbourhood Development Plans (NDP) are documents that describe the distinctive characteristics of their area.
They provide guidelines to developers to help manage development so that the village’s essential character can remain.
They are produced by local residents, in consultation with the Council as local planning authority.
To assist, the Council has prepared a series of local guidance notes on the preparation of Neighbourhood Development Plans. Also relevant guidance from Hampshire County Council on its role in the process and national guidance issued by the Department of Communities and Local Government.
