Community Development at Picket Piece
Andrea Harris is the Community Worker for the Picket Piece development.
The key objectives of the Community Worker are as follows:
• Provide information to residents about the development, local facilities, services and community activities in and around Andover
• Resident drop in held every Thursday 10am-noon • Set up and support community groups and clubs, including monthly health walks and weekly baby and toddler group.
• Establish links with neighbouring communities
• Promote the Community Travel Plan and establish the travel needs of the community to confirm the infrastructure in the area is effective.
There is a regular community newsletter that gives updates on Andrea’s work, information on community events and activities and reports on progress with the overall development. The latest newsletter can be found at the foot of the page, as can a link to previous issues.
