Our Countryside Officers are keen to establish a local volunteer group to help with ongoing management of the site. The Abbotswood volunteer group was first established in January 2019, meeting once a month throughout 2019. The group has been integral in the management of the Nature Reserve and green spaces within the development.
Annual events include the Wildlife Discovery Day, guided walks, such as bats and butterflies, litter picks, scrub management and coppicing works, and many more besides.
The Wilder Romsey group meet monthly with a countryside officer for organised conservation activities.
