Thank you for helping us monitor the conservation work we are carrying out at Harewood Common Nature Reserve. Following recent floral surveys at Harewood Common Nature Reserve it was identified that the diversity within the grassland was failing to develop in some places. In order to improve this habitat a technique was used known as green hay spreading, whereby species rich hay is collected from a donor site, in this case Bury Hill Meadows and spread using a muck spreader at the receptor site, Harewood Common. Your pictures taken from the bottom of the fare meadow will help us monitor the success of this seeding technique.

Thank you for helping us monitor the conservation work we are carrying out at Harewood Common Nature Reserve. Tree saplings were planted in 2023 to create an area of trees and scrub where there was originally a hedgerow. The meadow beyond will be cut and collected and then sown with a chalk grassland species mix. Your pictures taken from the photo point by the tree pen will help us monitor the success of this seeding technique.
