Chantry Centre Halloween Event

Head to the Chantry Centre for frighteningly good fun this Halloween!

Families in Andover have a treat in store at the Chantry Centre this Halloween as a series of free activities will be taking place in the indoor shopping centre.

On Friday 29 October children can join local creatives, Amanda from Merry-go-Round Storytelling and Maija from Unity Arts, for a seasonally spooky day of feathery folktales and crafts. Taking place at the centre’s indoor garden area, there will be four interactive story sessions throughout the day where children can listen to a creepy local tale.

Running alongside the story sessions, children will also have the chance to take part in some free drop-in craft workshops running from 10:30am - 12:30pm and 1:30pm – 2:30pm.

On Saturday 30 October, between 11am – 2pm, visitors can head to the indoor garden once more and take a look at some creepy crawlies. There will also be the chance to meet our wise witch’s owl!

A town centre Halloween Hunt organised by Test Valley Borough Council and Andover BID will also be running across the Chantry Centre and High Street on the Saturday between 11am -3pm. Participants can collect an entry form from inside the centre or from the gazebo in the High Street, before starting their search around the town for the chance to win a prize!

Leader of Test Valley Borough Council, Councillor Phil North said: “We hope families will enjoy coming into Andover during the Halloween weekend to make the most of these free events. We have a really fun mix of activities for everyone to take part in when they visit the town.”

All events are free and no booking required. More information and timings can be found at www.thechantrycentre.com
