Spring into Andover to meet friendly farm animals, join in craft workshops and master an Easter trail!

Andover town centre will be buzzing with FREE family-friendly activities on Saturday 16 April, courtesy of Test Valley Borough Council and Andover Business Improvement District (BID).

Animal lovers of all ages will enjoy the mobile farm, which will be located in the new Riverside Park, by Town Mills. Visitors will be able to meet a menagerie of friendly farm animals and birds in the park between 11am and 2pm.

Also in the park, a selection of outdoor games will be available for families and friends to play and test their competitive skills. Games including giant Jenga, noughts and crosses and hoopla, will available between 10am and 3pm.

And children will have lots fun taking part in the Easter trail, which will see them search for hidden characters across the town centre for the chance to win a prize. Plus there will be plenty of opportunities to stop and make the most of the other free activities along the way.

Inside the Chantry Centre children can take part in free spring-themed craft workshops between 10am and 3pm, to help make a colourful piece of artwork for the centre and take their own creations home. The workshops will take place in the garden area next to Boswell’s café.

InAndover will be arranging live music in the Time Ring to entertain everyone in the town, whether visiting the event, stopping for a spot of lunch or heading to the shops.

There will also be special entertainers popping up in the Chantry Centre and Riverside Park to delight visitors throughout the day.

Leader of Test Valley Borough Council, councillor Phil North, said: “It’s great to be hosting events in the spring months again. This year we are really looking forward to using the wonderful spaces that we have in our town centre, such as Riverside Park which officially opened last year.

“I hope families will make the most of all of the different activities on offer and have a great day out in Andover.”
