Bears and balloons galore at The Chantry Centre’s new pop-up shop
A brand new pop-up shop, Celebration Cube, has opened its doors in the Chantry Centre.
Home to Andover Balloon Design and Andover Teddy Garden, Celebration Cube has relocated from its previous home at a first-floor premises on Andover High Street and will open six days a week, offering a variety of gifts, decorations and activities.
Visitors will be able to buy bespoke event balloon décor, ranging from number stacks and balloon bouquets to pop balloons which can be personalised on request.
The shop will also house a very special Teddy Garden, whereby the young and young at heart can enjoy a Create a Teddy experience. Each experience will involve choosing either an 8inch or 16inch bear, filling it and naming it and there will also be the chance for participants to choose an outfit for their new cuddly companion before taking it home. The teddy experience is open for party or group bookings, offering something a little different for children to enjoy in the centre.
Owners of the new shop, Mike and Mel Hall, said: "We are so pleased to have been given the opportunity to take a shop in the Chantry Centre, as it is so much more accessible than our previous location, and we are hoping to be delivering smiles with both our create a bear experience and balloons alike.
“Please pop in and see what we have to offer we always have a colouring sheet and pencils available for children to enjoy."
Leader of Test Valley Borough Council, Councillor Phil North said: “It’s great to see Celebration Cube moving to a new unit in the centre, the space should help to accommodate all of their different services and activities.
“We’ve seen a really nice mix of new shops opening in recent months, bringing a variety of products and services to the Chantry Centre. I wish the team at Celebration Cube all the best at their new location.”
Test Valley Borough Council has ambitious plans for the future of the Chantry Centre as part of the town centre redevelopment project. In the meantime the council is actively looking at options for the building’s under-utilised space. The council operates a flexible easy-in, easy-out scheme for local retailers who may wish to trial a short term residence in a retail unit and raise their profile in the town before making a longer term commitment.
