All-day Artisan Market coming to Andover this Sunday!

July’s Artisan Market will be taking up residence for a little longer than usual this month, with traders pitching up in the High Street on Sunday 17 July from 10am until 6pm.

The extended market will coincide with the 2022 Andover Carnival, which will see a colourful procession journey along Bridge Street towards Vigo Park, in the late afternoon.

This month’s local traders will be on site throughout the day to welcome visitors, and showcase their uniquely crafted products. From delicious foods and preserves to drinks and crafts, there will be a fabulous variety of goods on offer for people to browse and buy.

In addition to the market stalls, visitors can enjoy live music from the Time Ring and make use of Andover’s new seating area, which will pop-up just in front of the Guildhall.

InAndover from the Andover BID will also be organising some additional activities in the afternoon to sit alongside the market, including a face painter, music and family-friendly games.

The Artisan Market will be located in Andover High Street, which can easily be accessed from the bus station and train station. Parking in Andover town centre is also free on Sundays.

Leader of Test Valley Borough Council, Councillor Phil North, said: “We’re pleased to be able to open the Artisan Market for longer this month. The town centre is normally a hive of activity when the carnival comes to town, so we hope the local traders will have the chance to meet new customers during the extended hours and visitors to the carnival will have some great independent stalls to visit as they wait for the procession.”
