Commemoration Services on Sunday 18th September

Romsey Abbey has shared details of the Commemoration Service marking the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on Sunday evening at 7.30pm. The service will incorporate the National Moment of Reflection at 8pm.

St Mary’s Church Andover have shared details of the Service of Thanksgiving for Her Majesty The Queen on Sunday evening at 7pm.

The service will incorporate the National Moment of Reflection at 8pm.

 

Travel

This Monday is a bank holiday, to mark the State Funeral for Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

Bin Collections - there will be no bin collections on Monday, 19 September. Your bins will be collected one day later than usual next week, including on Saturday 24 September. 

Car Parking Charges - as with all bank holidays, there will be no charge for parking in any of our car parks on Monday 19 September.

Council Services - our offices will be closed for the bank holiday, reopening on Tuesday, 20 September. 

Whilst the Former Magistrate Court in Romsey will be closed for council business, members of public will still be able to sign the Book of Condolence throughout the weekend and on the bank holiday between 9am and 6pm. 

The Lights in Andover will also be open for the public to sign the Book of Condolence throughout the weekend and bank holiday, between 9am and 6pm.

Leisure Centres: Places Leisure has confirmed that the Leisure Centres and Charlton Pavilion will be closed.

Ganger Farm Sports Park will be closed.

The Chantry Centre will be closed.
