Coco Cosmetics receives £1200 grant from the council
Coco Cosmetics, a newly established beauty business in Andover, has been awarded a £1200 Independent Retailer Grant from Test Valley Borough Council.
The business, founded by Megan Grace and Danielle Marriner, opened its doors on London Street in February 2024.
Coco Cosmetics offers a wide range of services, including tanning, semi-permanent make-up, Aesthetic treatments, lashes massage, facials & waxing. The business aims to provide high-quality Aesthetic & beauty services to both men and women in the community.
Megan Grace said: “The grant will help us create a welcoming space for our clients and introduce new beauty treatments to the area.”
St Mary’s ward councillor, Iris Andersen, said: “It’s fantastic to see new businesses like Coco Cosmetics opening in Andover. I wish Megan and Danielle all the best with their new venture.”
Councillor Jan Budzynski, also representing St Mary’s ward, added: “The grants we offer to new businesses help revitalise the town centre and demonstrate our support for local entrepreneurs.”
Before opening their physical premises, Megan and Danielle successfully ran Aesthetic & beauty businesses from a home-based salon.
Recipients of the £1,200 grant receive £600 after three months of trading and a further £600 six months later. To be eligible for the grant, new or existing independent businesses must occupy a town centre ground floor unit which has been vacant for at least one month. Qualifying businesses include shops, restaurants and cafes.
