New audio-visual components business set up on Walworth Business Park receives a boost from the council

A new business supplying electronic components to the audio-visual trade on Walworth Business Park, has received a £750 Business Incentive Grant from Test Valley Borough Council.

TDI Cables’ Managing Director, Angie Dyer, has many years’ experience in the audio-visual industry. The new business is already ahead of its growth milestones and has begun expanding. Angie’s husband Andrew Dyer is a Director of the new company and Angie has recruited a former work colleague, and her brother. The company is settling into its new premises and connecting with other local businesses such as Andover Fork Truck Services from whom they are leasing a vehicle.

Angie Dyer said: “We’re absolutely delighted with how things are going. The support from Test Valley Borough Council has been a real boost, and it’s great to be growing the business in our hometown."

Councillor Nick Lodge said: “It’s fantastic to see TDI Cables doing well. Supporting new businesses like this is what our business incentive grants are designed to do, giving a boost to entrepreneurs who will contribute to our local economy. We wish Angie and the team every success.”

Test Valley Borough Council is committed to supporting local businesses through various initiatives and grants. The Business Incentive Grant is designed to help new businesses located in Test Valley achieve their goals and contribute to the local economy. You must apply for the grant within eight weeks of starting to trade, and the Council will award the money once you have been up and running for a minimum of six months.
