Mayor of Test Valley’s Christmas Message 2025
As the festive season draws near, I’d like to take a moment to reflect, to celebrate and to extend my heartfelt wishes to you.
Since becoming the Mayor of Test Valley, in May, the Mayoress and I feel privileged to have visited groups, charities, schools and businesses throughout Test Valley. It has been a super opportunity to meet so many fabulous and interesting residents.
To our emergency services, key workers and volunteers in the borough – a huge thank you. Your dedication is commendable and, especially during the holidays, your service is deeply appreciated.
Christmas is a time of great joy, togetherness and generosity; a season that reminds us of the power of community. Sadly, however, far too many people find the festive season can be a sad and lonely time. Let us open our hearts to those who may be struggling, be kind and thoughtful to family, friends and neighbours in our communities and help make our borough a better place to live.
So, as we gather with loved ones, share in festive traditions and light up our homes may we also find time to rest, reflect, and recharge.
On behalf of the entire borough council, the Mayoress and I wish you a joyful Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
Councillor Gordon Bailey, MBE
