Andover Jobs Fair returns to connect residents with local employers
Local jobseekers will have the chance to meet employers and explore new opportunities when the Andover Jobs Fair returns to the town this summer.
The free event will take place on Wednesday 17 June 2026, from 9.30am to 12.30pm, at The Lights theatre in Andover. It is being organised jointly by Test Valley Borough Council, The Lights, Andover Jobcentre Plus, Andover College and the Hampshire Chamber of Commerce.
Councillor Phil North, Leader of Test Valley Borough Council, said: “This Jobs Fair is a great opportunity for local people to speak directly to employers, explore new career options and access practical support, all in one place. We know from previous years that these events really do make a difference, with people securing work as a direct result. I would encourage anyone who is looking for a job, a fresh start or a new challenge to come along.”
The Jobs Fair aims to bring together local employers with live vacancies and adults of all ages who may be interested in entering the workplace, returning to work after a break, changing career or seeking a new challenge. It provides the opportunity for people to meet employers face to face to discuss roles and find out more about different sectors.
There is no charge for employers to attend, and the event is widely advertised to reach as many local jobseekers as possible. Andover Jobcentre Plus will also be booking their clients to attend.
Following the success of the summer Jobs Fairs held in Andover in 2024 and 2025, organisers are delighted that many of the town’s major employers will once again be taking part. Previous events have resulted in employment offers being made directly as a result of conversations at the Jobs Fair.
As well as speaking to employers, jobseekers will be able to access a wide range of employment and skills support on the day. Seetec will be available to talk about the Hampshire Connect to Work programme, while The Shaw Trust will provide information about employment support for people with long term mental health conditions. Those interested in vocational training will be able to explore opportunities through Andover College and Hampshire skills bootcamps. Finally, Unity and Valley Leisure will be present to talk about volunteering opportunities which may be a steppingstone into paid employment.
Careers advisers will also be offering short, in‑person one‑to‑one sessions for people who want to talk through their options. This service has proved very popular in previous years, and support is being provided by the National Careers Service, Andover College, Values and Talent, and Waythrough. Jobseekers do not need to book in advance. In addition, Andover College will be helping people to set up LinkedIn profiles on the spot.
Confirmed employers attending the 2026 Jobs Fair include Active Staff, Agincare, the Army, Beryl Care Services, Caremark, Commfire Ltd, Custom Interconnect, Hampshire County Council childcare and early years, Infinity Care, the Police, Ocado engineering, Ocado warehouse, Purple Oak, Rich Products, the Royal Navy Submarine Team, Stannah, Test Valley Borough Council and Venture Security. More employers will be confirmed closer to the event, along with details of the types of roles available.
