Andover wellness business receives boost with council grant

A new Andover-based wellbeing business is set to grow after receiving support from Test Valley Borough Council.

Aligned – Mind, Body, Soul and Skin, founded by Debbi McIntosh, has been awarded a Business Incentive Grant of £750 to help develop the business and reach more customers in the local community.

The business operates from a salon on Union Street in Andover and offers a unique approach to wellbeing through a treatment known as Facial Alchemy. The technique combines a range of holistic facial therapies designed to restore balance and support both physical and emotional wellbeing.

Debbi relocated from Canada to set up her business and has been building her client base while introducing a treatment that is new to many people in the area. She plans to use the grant funding to invest in marketing and raise awareness of her services.

Debbi McIntosh, owner of Aligned – Mind, Body, Soul and Skin, said: “Establishing Aligned – Facial Alchemy in Andover has been a journey close to my heart. Having relocated from Canada, establishing my business and introducing a treatment many have never encountered before has been incredibly challenging and rewarding.

“Facial Alchemy brings together advanced holistic facial techniques, including lymph drainage, kansa wand, facial reflexology, sculpting and lifting massage, and buccal massage, to restore inner balance, rejuvenate the muscles and skin, and deliver real, visible results and healing.

“I am delighted to receive this grant, which will allow me to invest in marketing and bring this alternative approach to wellbeing to a wider audience across the local community.”

Andover St Mary’s Ward, Councillor Debbie Cattell, said: “It is fantastic to see new businesses like Aligned choosing to set up and grow in Andover. We are pleased to support Debbi through the Business Incentive Grant, which is designed to help new businesses take those important early steps, grow their customer base and contribute to the local economy.”

Test Valley Borough Council is committed to supporting local businesses through various initiatives and grants. The Business Incentive Grant is designed to help new businesses located in Test Valley achieve their goals and contribute to the local economy. You must apply for the grant within eight weeks of starting to trade, and the Council will award the money once you have been up and running for a minimum of six months.
