Part of Chantry Centre car park to close for repairs

Work will begin tomorrow (Wednesday 1 July) to replace the suspended ceilings in the level 5a lobby and stairwell at the Chantry Centre multi-storey car park in Andover.

The work is expected to take three weeks, with completion due by 21 July.

During this time, customers will be unable to access the level 5a lobby from the main stairwell and lifts.

Councillor Phil North, Leader of Test Valley Borough Council, said: “We want to keep our car parks safe, clean and welcoming for everyone who uses them, as this helps to encourage people into the town centre and boosts the local economy.

“We apologise for the disruption and would like to thank people for their patience while we undertake the repairs.”

The council has planned the work to minimise disruption where possible and will keep residents updated throughout the programme.
