Award-winning bakery expands with new kiosk at Andover Bus Station

Something exciting is brewing in Andover town centre as award‑winning bakery and coffee shop The Travelling Cupcake prepares to open a new kiosk at Andover Bus Station.

The much‑loved business, known for its handcrafted bakes, house‑made gelato and speciality coffee, will take on the kiosk from 1 April. The new kiosk is their second town centre premises and will offer a “bakehouse-style” experience, with an expanded range of savoury options appearing alongside the sweet treats already enjoyed by many in the town.

Beverly Botha, founder of The Travelling Cupcake, said: “We were truly excited at the opportunity to present our vision for the bus station kiosk.

“This space allows us to expand what we do - more bakehouse, more savoury - while still keeping that signature touch of The Travelling Cupcake charm and unwavering quality.

“I care enormously about Andover. It’s our home, and I truly believe it deserves the very best. We’re proud to be part of its growth and regeneration, and we’re committed to delivering something special for the community.”

Councillor Phil North, leader of Test Valley Borough Council, added: “It’s fantastic to see a much‑loved Andover business growing and investing even further in the town centre.

“The Travelling Cupcake already plays a big part in our high street, and this new kiosk will create an even more welcoming gateway for people arriving into the town.

“Together with recent openings such as High Score Arcades and Go Fudge, it shows the positive momentum building as we continue our work to regenerate the town centre and create a place where independent businesses can thrive, residents feel proud, and visitors want to spend their time.”
