Andover Gardening Fair 2025

Andover Gardening Fair returns to the High Street this weekend

Andover town centre will burst into bloom this weekend as the annual Gardening Fair returns to the High Street on Sunday 17 May, from 10am to 4pm.

The much-loved event brings together local growers, independent traders and community organisations for a day celebrating gardening, sustainability and creativity. Visitors can browse a wide selection of plants, including locally grown and specialist varieties, alongside a range of garden accessories, handmade goods and advice from community groups.

A programme of live entertainment will take place throughout the day, providing a lively backdrop to the event, with food and drink stalls serving a range of tasty treats and delicious drinks.

Family-friendly activities, including a free drop-in creative workshop delivered by Chapel Arts Studios, will also be on offer. The workshop invites budding gardeners of all ages to decorate a plant pot using reused materials before planting pollinator-friendly seeds to take home and grow. The activity encourages creativity while supporting wildlife such as bees and butterflies.

Councillor Phil North, leader of Test Valley Borough Council, said: “The Gardening Fair is a great opportunity to celebrate local growers, independent businesses and community groups who bring so much to Andover. Events like this help to create a real buzz in the town centre and bring people together, while also promoting sustainability and an interest in the natural environment. It is particularly encouraging to see activities that inspire residents of all ages to support biodiversity at home.”

The Andover Gardening Fair is free to attend and takes place along Andover High Street.
