Building Preservation & Conservation Advice
There are over 2000 statutory listed buildings in the borough and many more locally important buildings spread throughout Test Valley. We are committed to ensuring the upkeep of these buildings and provide advice on repairs and maintenance to preserve the traditional style. We do not currently provide financial assistance for such works.
Conservation Advice
Our in-house expertise primarily engaged in tasks related to planning applications and formulating planning policy. The ability to provide a general advice service is therefore limited.

Hampshire County Council have produced several useful documents in relation to the historic environment. These include documents on Earth Structures , the Conservation of Water Meadow Structures, Thatch in Hampshire, Re-pointing and Historic Farm Buildings in Hampshire.
