Neighbourhood Planning

Neighbourhood Planning

Neighbourhood planning gives communities the opportunity to shape new development in their area. There are other plans that help with this too, including Parish Plans and Village Design Statements. Introduced through the Localism Act 2011, this enables those who know their area best to decide what they will need in the future and where new development, such as new homes, should be built. The information found on the getting started and guidance page will help you to decide which is the best approach to meet your area’s needs.
