Applying for work experience
Who can apply?
We are keen to receive applications from young people living in Test Valley aged 14 and up, we also welcome applications from those at university, returning to work or interested in a career change.
How do I apply?
Type 1 – Corporate Work Experience - Years 10 and 11 only
We can no longer receive applications directly from students.
Local schools within the Test Valley area can nominate a number of students who they feel would benefit most from this type of placement. Therefore, please speak to your school’s work experience lead and ask them to get in touch with us at : wexperience@testvalley.gov.uk
We will need the following details from them :
- Full name and email of pupils to attend
- Dates of the work placement
- Any specific areas of interest for each students
Type 2 – Specific Placement (college and university students)
Applying takes approximately 10 minutes

Please note that Type 2 work experiences placements are not guaranteed. Arrangements are subject to service availability and can take several weeks to organise.
