Reporting an untaxed vehicle
The paper tax disc no longer exists. Instead you can check the tax status of any vehicle online with the GOV.UK website.
If you see a vehicle on the public road which you know is untaxed, you can report it to the DVLA. Your report will be investigated and enforcement action taken, if needed.
What you need to report
Vehicle details:
- registration mark
- make, model and colour.
Details about its location:
- for example - outside 24 Any Street, Any Town, Any Postcode
- any feature landmark, for example - opposite telephone box.
If possible, provide:
- the time the vehicle can be seen on the public road
- the name and address of the owner.
